Week 11 NFL predictions: Bucs at Dolphins

Lavonte David and the Tampa Bay defense must deliver a performance similar to last week's against the Jets to bring home a win from Hard Rock Stadium.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Jameis Winston sitting out Sunday's game was already determined and announced earlier this week, so that's not because of the allegations but because of the shoulder injury. Unless the team reverses course, he's still expected to travel to Miami.

The Bucs have waived wide receiver/kick and punt returner Bernard Reedy and promoted Freddie Martino. Reedy had a 44-yard punt return against the Jets, the longest for the Bucs since 2015.

Here is the final injury report for the Bucs and Dolphins. Vernon Hargreaves is officially out.

The Scottsdale Police Department confirmed to me that no police report was filed against Jameis Winston by an Uber driver. The same for the Phoenix Police Department.

Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston has issued the following statement regarding allegations made by an Uber driver. "A news organization has published a story about me regarding an alleged incident involving a female Uber driver from approximately two years ago. The story falsely accuses me of making inappropriate contact with this driver. I believe the driver was confused as to the number of passengers in the car and who was sitting next to her. The accusation is false, and given the nature of the allegation and increased awareness and consideration of these types of matters, I am addressing this false report immediately. At the time of the alleged incident, I denied the allegations to Uber, yet they still decided to suspend my account. I am supportive of the national movement to raise awareness and develop better responses to the concerns of parties who find themselves in these types of situations, but this accusation is false. While I am certain that I did not make any inappropriate contact, I don't want to engage in a battle with the driver and I regret if my demeanor or presence made her uncomfortable in any way."

An Uber spokesperson confirmed to me that a complaint was made shortly after the alleged incident on March 13, 2016. "The behavior the driver reported is disturbing and wrong," the spokesperson said. "The rider was permanently removed from the app shortly after we learned of the incident."

NFL investigates groping allegation vs. Winston

The NFL is investigating an allegation that Jameis Winston groped a female Uber driver in March 2016. The Buccaneers QB denied the allegation later Friday, saying that the "accusation is false."

Bucs cornerback Vernon Hargreaves looks on as his teammates go through positional drills during Friday's morning practice. This is the third straight day he's been held out due to a hamstring injury.

Thursday's Bucs and Dolphins injury reports. No changes from yesterday for the Bucs. We already know Jameis Winston and Will Gholston are out. Not very optimistic about Vernon Hargreaves either.

FPI: As close as it gets in Miami

FPI gives the Bucs (50.0 percent) a tiny edge over the Dolphins (49.6 percent) in the closest matchup of any game on the regular-season schedule, past or projected. That said, this is the lowest-quality matchup of Week 11, and each team is favored just once in its final six games.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

The Bucs got a touchdown from running back Charles Sims last week -- their first touchdown from a running back in nearly a month and their first win in well over a month. He told me, "We've just got to keep taking it one game at a time, one win at a time."

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Bucs offensive coordinator Todd Monken is searching for answers as to why they just aren't running the football well. "Is it backs? Is it scheme? Is it o-line? What is it then? How can we get better? And it's all of it. It's not one thing. There [are] times where, up front, we take our times to not be as consistent with the running back hitting it. Collectively, there's stuff scheme-wise where each week we're trying to create more opportunities to better run the football. It has to come from somewhere."

Bucs cornerback Robert McClain (No. 36) is practicing again today. He's been dealing with a hamstring injury and was a full participant yesterday. Before the injury, he was playing well on the outside.

Jenna Laine ESPN Staff Writer

Still no Vernon Hargreaves at Thursday's Bucs practice. Head coach Dirk Koetter said yesterday that he'd really have to make some strides to be ready for Miami. He's been dealing with a hamstring injury.

"This league is kind of about getting on runs," said Bucs quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. "Unfortunately we went on a bad run, but if we can continue to stack up some of those wins, you never know what's going to happen. I'm 100 percent positive that the belief in that locker room is that we can do it."
