Adam Gase said DeVante Parker was healthy enough to play Sunday vs. Jets. He mentioned there were "a lot of moving parts" to why he decided to make Parker inactive. He said one more week wouldn't hurt. Gase told Parker Saturday night.

DeVante Parker was surprised he didn't play. He said he thought he was good to go. It looked like he had a thin glove, but no wrap or cast on his right hand. Team decision to hold him out.

Adam Gase on the 2-0 Dolphins: "We'll just keep surprising people."

Rough second half for Dolphins, but when they need a drive to put the Jets away, with 6 minutes left, Ryan Tannehill and the offense delivered. Tannehill got a couple huge first downs with his legs. Frank Gore gets another big first down on a 3rd and 19 dump-off. Dolphins are 2-0.

Masterful first half for the Dolphins, who have made Sam Darnold look like a rookie again. Dolphins D all over the place. Ryan Tannehill efficient 12-15, 116 yards, 2 TDs with a 138.5 passer rating. Playmakers like Albert Wilson and Kenyan Drake flashing. It's 20-0 Dolphins at half. They might have something here. This team looks... good.

I talked to T.J. McDonald earlier this week about Sam Darnold. He praised his fellow USC grad, but he felt confident they could confuse him into some turnovers. Great play by McDonald baiting Darnold into an INT there. Kenyan Drake scores a rushing TD off the turnover.

Dolphins list WR Parker as inactive for 2nd week

After a week of optimism and progress regarding his broken middle finger, Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker was a surprise inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Cameron Wolfe ESPN Staff Writer

DeVante Parker is INACTIVE. Dolphins talked up his progress all week, but looks like he will be out one more week as he recovers from a broken middle finger. Other Dolphins inactives: Luke Falk, David Fales, Cordrea Tankersley, Kalen Ballage, Zach Sterup.

Dolphins DE Andre Branch was fined $10,026 for taunting after his hit on Taylor Lewan Sunday. Branch was not fined for the actual hit that gave Lewan a concussion. William Hayes was not fined for his hit on Marcus Mariota. Neither hit was penalized.

Multiple Las Vegas sportsbooks reported taking large bets on the Houston Texans on Thursday. The South Point sportsbook said it took $110,000 bet on the Texans, and Johnny Avello, executive director of the Wynn, said he also took a "pretty good sized" bet on the Texans yesterday. "I think everyone in town did," Avello added. Houston, which was as low as -1.5 earlier in the week, is now a 3-point favorite over the Tennessee Titans at most books.

Looks like it could be a Saturday or game-time decision for DeVante Parker. Positive vibes from he and Adam Gase all week. Gase said he didn't have any issues catching the ball and he's in a "good place." They will have discussions over next couple of days for final decision.

WR Stills: 'Commitment to cause' unwavering

Dolphins receiver Kenny Stills, who started to kneel during the national anthem at the start of the 2016 season, says his protests won't ever change. "It's just what I care about ... what I spend my time doing when I'm not here working," he said.
