LSU fires their coach.(It's still September) Would Les Miles still be coaching if they beat Auburn? Glad its not a business LOL amateurism

LSU safety Jamal Adams described Sunday's team meeting as "very emotional" when fired coach Les Miles addressed the team. "That man's so passionate about LSU," Adams said. "He's been here for 12 years. He recruited me. I think that he was just very emotional as far as letting go, but he wants to do what's best for us."

While @ LSU - Since 2006 - Les Miles signed 9 Top-10 classes including the No. 1 class in '09, No. 2 class in '14 & No. 3 class in '16

Among the 2017 rankings LSU currently has the #4 class w/ 8 commits that rank among the Top-5 at their respective position

Most impressive Les Miles stat to me? Over the past 12 seasons, LSU had 24 wins in games in which it trailed in the fourth quarter. That's easily the most of any team. The Cardiac Cats almost pulled off another one Saturday night against Auburn on the Plains

Just goes to show you the college football world we live in. According to ESPN Stats & Info, Miles leaves LSU with the highest winning percentage (.770) and second-most wins by a coach in school history. His 114 wins are 23 fewer than Charles McClendon. Miles (2007), Paul Dietzel and Nick Saban are the only coaches to win a national championship at LSU in the poll era. Miles had 11 straight eight-win seasons at LSU. That's one shy of the most consecutive eight-win seasons for a coach with an SEC program (Bear Bryant, Phillip Fulmer and Steve Spurrier each had 12). But it still wasn't enough. Recent struggles and a lack of offensive evolution doomed him

I enjoyed and appreciated the conversation with Les Miles over the years. They were memorable and unusual. Just like him.

When you think you'll cruise through Sunday afternoon but then Harvick wins & Kenseth doesn't & Les Miles is fired all in like 15 minutes.

Thoughts from SEC assistant after Les Miles' firing: "It'll be open season with LSU's recruits," the coach said. "Their class was so good. It'll be tough to pry some of their in-state guys away, but this will help others go after their out-of-state guys . This could have just changed Dylan Moses' recruitment big time." Moses, a five-star athlete from Bradenton (Florida) IMG Academy, is originally from Louisiana and is considering LSU, Alabama, Miami, Texas and UCLA.
