Raptors summer league roster unveiled

The Raptors announced their roster for next month's summer league in Orlando. First-round pick O.G. Anunoby will participate as will Jakob Poeltl, Pascal Siakam and Fred Van Vleet, who all played 30 or more games last season for Toronto.

If Masai Ujiri is the New York Knicks' top candidate to replace Phil Jackson, New York would likely have to include some sort of picks package to Toronto seeing as Ujiri is under contract with the Raptors for several more seasons. One league source suggested that Ujiri could have an out clause in his contract that specifically mentions the Knicks job, but those clauses are more common in coaches' contracts than executives'. With that said, is Ujiri such a strong target that giving up future assets to acquire him is more desirable than going after someone like David Griffin who is on the market and has long coveted a big job like the Knicks?

Raptors among the winners of draft night

OG Anunoby might be the best 3-and-D prospect in the draft, making him a great value for the Raptors and a perfect fit for a team that values toughness.

ESPN Stats and Information

OG Anunoby goes No. 23 to the Raptors. He more than doubled his scoring average from his freshman to sophomore season at Indiana before suffering a season-ending knee injury on Jan. 1.

Love love love OG Anunoby for the Raptors. I wish they would have had an older version of him to use on LeBron James the last two years.

Ben Alamar ESPN Analytics

Anunoby is 16th overall in ESPN's analytic draft model. His closest comps are Gerald Wallace, Stanley Johnson, Kelly Oubre, and Draymond Green.

Adam Reisinger ESPN.com

With the No. 23 overall pick, the Raptors selected OG Anunoby (F, Indiana). The only other time the Raptors picked this late in the first round was last year, when they drafted Pascal Siakam 27th overall. Siakam went on to start 38 games as a rookie.

Among the many questions post-trade: How does the Boston/Philly deal impact Kyle Lowry's July? The Sixers are obviously no longer an option.

Grade A Mock: Raptors should reach for Thornwell

Other mock drafts have South Carolina's Sindarius Thornwell going later, but this isn't an ordinary mock draft. The SEC Player of the Year would help the Raptors immediately.
