O'Neill carries momentum into AFL

Rangers outfield prospect Michael O'Neill went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base while batting leadoff in his first action of the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday. The nephew of former Yankees outfielder Paul O'Neill slashed .266/.336/.445 with 15 homers and 28 stolen bases in 119 games between high-A Down East and Double-A Frisco this past season.

Rangers purchase Hickory Crawdads

The Texas Rangers have purchased the Hickory Crawdads of the low-A South Atlantic League. The team has been the Rangers' low-A affiliate since 2009. The Rangers also own their high-A affiliate, the Down East Wood Ducks of the Carolina League.

Rangers break ground for new $1.1B stadium
