Broncos, Rockies fields get pounded by hail

Denver had a hailstorm that hit the playing facilities of both the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies on Monday.

The storm was apparently the perfect opportunity for some puns plus some crazy images and videos.

After the storm hit Sports Authority Field at Mile High, it looked as though a straight-up blizzard had passed over.

At Coors Field, you could see the size of the hail bouncing off the field into the dugout.

There was so much hail, it had to be swept off the tarp before the cover was removed before Monday night's game.

The scheduled game between the Rockies and Chicago Cubs was postponed because of rain later in the day. There was a delay of about 75 minutes before the game was called.

It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Tuesday, with the first game at 2:10 p.m. ET and the second at 8:40 p.m.
