Last week John Calipari told that he wanted more fight from his team and that they needed to just win one game to stop the bleeding of losing. Kentucky has now won two in a row and these young Cats' are fighting again. Impressive road win at Arkansas in the SEC.

Kentucky has a trust problem

John Calipari is complaining that his team won't listen to him, his players feel sorry for themselves and the egos are getting in the way. With only three weeks until Selection Sunday, can the Wildcats figure it out?

Spoke with E.J Montgomery who currently sits at no.16 in the ESPN 100. He has visited Duke and North Carolina unofficially and plans to go back to both for official visits. Kentucky is up next for an official visit on February 24th. He and is family are deciding on a fourth visit between Georgetown and Wake Forest. At 6'10" Montgomery possesses a 7'2" wing span with a soft mid-range touch. He is playing with more assertiveness and that has translated to his rebounding numbers. The bottom line is he has made steady progress over his career with plenty of growth left in his game.

College hoops Power Rankings: Will SEC's depth hurt teams in March?

Eleven SEC teams are within striking distance of the tournament, so what's the problem? They're building their résumés and metrics by beating each other, so the committee might value the league differently when selecting the field.

Kentucky's four-game losing streak is over as the it beats Alabama, 81-71, at home. It wasn't always pretty, but the Wildcats dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Tide by 17. Turnovers down the stretch doomed Alabama .

It's amazing that Kentucky is +17 rebounding yet is leading Alabama by just 2 points with under 8 minutes remaining. The Wildcats have missed some point-blank shots this afternoon.

Alabama big man Donta Hall may be wearing two different shoes (one white, one crimson), but he's playing very good basketball. He's 7 of 8 from the field and a big reason why the Tide have the lead over Kentucky with under 9 minutes to play.

Collin Sexton has returned from the locker room with a bandage on his chin. Alabama's leading scorer took a hard fall on the court earlier and went straight to the locker room. He's now back on the court against Kentucky.

Collin Sexton fell and smashed the side of his face on the court after a drive to the basket. He was slow getting up and when he did, he went straight to the locker room. He's Alabama's best scoring option.

Not a good sign for Alabama when big man Donta Hall heads to the locker room early against Kentucky after appearing to aggravate his already injured wrist. The Tide need his ability to protect the rim against the Wildcats, who want to make a living in the paint.
