NBA draft stock: Happ, Hayes and more

Ethan Happ improved his stock with 21 points, six boards and four assists in Wisconsin's heartbreaking loss to Florida. Did Nigel Hayes do enough to convince scouts he's a first-rounder?

Andy Katz ESPN Senior Writer

Florida's Chris Chiozza said even if he had been forced to change direction on the buzzer beating shot -- even one step by Wisconsin -- he thinks he still would have gotten off a good look. Still made it? Well, we can all speculate on that one.

ICYMI: underdogs went 2-1-1 ATS in Friday's Sweet 16 games (after also going 2-1-1 ATS on Thursday) with South Carolina and Kentucky pulling outright upsets. North Carolina was the only favorite to cover while the push was Florida beating Wisconsin 84-83 in overtime as a 1-point fave. Overall, underdogs are 30-23-2 ATS (56.6 percent) with one game closing pick 'em. Overs are 32-23-1 (58.2 percent).

Tough for Wisconsin senior Bronson Koenig to put the loss to Florida into words. Compared it to a death in the family, but acknowledged it's still just a game too.

Chiozza's 3 at buzzer sends Florida to Elite 8

Chris Chiozza went end to end and made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Florida an 84-83 victory against Wisconsin on Friday night in the first overtime game of this NCAA tournament.

Rachel Marcus ESPN Editor

Wisconsin made a valiant comeback -- forcing overtime after being down by double digits with five minutes to play in regulation -- but it wasn't enough to beat Florida and the Gators' buzzer-beating magic. Stunned crowd at MSG.

Dave Tuley ESPN Staff Writer

Florida beats Wisconsin 84-83 in overtime on Chris Chiozza's running 3-pointer at the buzzer. The ViewFromVegas is the game landed on the closing point spread of Florida -1. The shot obviously made winners of Gator backers in the money line. Some early Wisconsin bettors cashed at +2 or +1.5, but most gameday wagers ended up in a push/refund.

Some Garden magic. Chris Chiozza with the play of the tourney

Nigel Hayes going full Dwyane Wade in overtime. This is a compliment, and also not.

Dana O'Neil ESPN Senior Writer

I always like to point out when a game goes OT at the Garden that I was here for six OT game. Just saying

Dana O'Neil ESPN Senior Writer

Zak Showalter had zero points in the first half. He now has 12 plus the tying 3-pointer. That's a senior.
