Purdue's Caleb Swanigan is in heady company going into the NBA Draft after leading the nation in double-doubles. Swanigan put up the numbers of a high lottery pick, but hasn't generated the kind of draft buzz as his predecessors.

Kentucky's Bam Adebayo declares for the draft but won't hire an agent. He should be in Chicago for the NBA draft combine now. That's great for the event. It will also give him a clearer picture about where he stands before making a decision about returning. Purdue's Caleb Swanigan did the same thing last season and turned into a player of the year finalist.

Purdue president Mitch Daniels told us on Capital Games that he would like to see schools keep open scholarships if a player leaves after one year. That would mean a school couldn't replace him until he would have finished his eligibility. Would be a tough sell for schools like Kentucky and Duke: http://es.pn/2nxRv2m

Purdue Pres.: One-and-done rule 'doesn't work'

Purdue President Mitch Daniels chats with Andy Katz and Rick Klein about the boilermakers' run in the NCAA Tournament, disagreements he's had with the NCAA on rules, some potential ideas he's floated regarding "one-and-dones" and more.

Kansas' Mason unanimous AP All-America pick

Frank Mason III was the only unanimous selection for the AP All-America team, which also includes Josh Hart, Lonzo Ball, Caleb Swanigan and Justin Jackson.

If Kansas isn't playing the best basketball out of the teams remaining, I don't know who is. The Jayhawks dispatched Purdue 98-66 to set up an Elite Eight showdown with Oregon on Saturday.

Purdue had a total of 20 turnovers in its first two NCAA games. The Boilermakers need just five more this game to finish with as many. They had six turnovers over the six minutes of Kansas' run that may have broken it open for good.

Feels like every shot Purdue's Caleb Swanigan attempts has been an ordeal. Kansas' Landon Lucas not allowing him to get anything easy. Aside from when he steps outside for a 3-point attempt, Swanigan has had to fight for every inch.

Make-or-break player: Vince Edwards

Matt Painter knows what he's getting from Caleb Swanigan, it's what he gets from Edwards that will make the difference.

ESPN's BPI gives a slight edge to Kansas in its Sweet 16 battle with Purdue Thursday night (9:39 p.m. ET). The Jayhawks haven't beaten a top-four seed since 2012, but Purdue is 0-5 all-time against No. 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament.

Boilermakers are great value pick

Don't count out No. 4 seed Purdue (-5) against top-seeded Kansas on Thursday night. The Boilermakers and Jayhawks' outcomes against common opponents suggest a close game.
