Make-or-break player: Johnathan Motley

He's been Baylor's best player all season, but he's stuggled in the Bears' losses. Motley needs to be exceptional for the Bears to keep winning.

Scott Drew on the unlikely regional here in NY, with Baylor, South Carolina, Florida and Wisconsin talked about the parity of the game with transfers and one and dones. He then added, "with the NCAA Tournament, its who plays best in those 40 minutes. It's not best four of seven, the best team doesn't always win."

Ishmail Wainwright said Baylor watched three hours of film on Sindarius Thornwell alone and that the "whole team" will have to defend him.

Uni Watch: Baylor keeps it bright

Despite the fact that its home white uniforms are pretty sharp, Baylor seems to be in favor of its neon unis during this March Madness tournament. What a shame.

ESPN's BPI breaks down who has the best chance to reach the elusive Final Four -- with three (fairly) clear frontrunners, including fourth-seeded Florida.

Why you should be excited about the Sweet 16 (1:13)

ESPN Stats and Information

Baylor boasts the best interior offense among teams still alive in the NCAA tournament, while South Carolina features the top interior defense. The Bears and Gamecocks will pit their productive trench warfare against each other on Friday.

ESPN Stats and Information

Florida's odds to win the NCAA tournament have increased by 10 percent, largely thanks to Villanova and Duke's early exits in the East Region. Oregon and Baylor's chances to win have each increased by 4 percent, and Gonzaga and Arizona, 3 percent.

ESPN Stats and Information

Entering the NCAA Tournament, ESPN.com/BPI projected that one team from among Villanova, Duke and Virginia had a 75 percent chance to represent the East Region in the Final Four. With those three all eliminated, the three biggest jumps in chance to reach Glendale are East Region teams.

Why Baylor will (or won't) keep playing

The Bears' rangy zone defense has been a nightmare for opponents, but they can't afford lengthy scoring droughts going forward.

ESPN Stats and Information

With the top two seeds bowing out, everyone's East Regional bracket is pretty much busted. Just 5.1 percent of fans in ESPN's Tournament Challenged picked third-seeded Baylor to reach the Final Four, the highest percentage of any team remaining in the region.

ESPN Stats and Information

Baylor's Scott Drew is tied for the second-best record by any coach in the Round of 32. He is 4-0 in such contests, leading the Bears to all four of their Sweet 16 appearances.
