Starting pitcher projections for Week 2: April 10-16

If Drew Pomeranz does indeed make his 2017 regular season debut on April 11 (Tuesday), he's in line for a two-start week. Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Fantasy Baseball Forecaster pitching grid has been updated as of Saturday, April 15, at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Welcome to the new and improved version of the Fantasy Baseball Forecaster! This year, we've reorganized the story into four parts; it's the same great intel, but you get right where you need to go as fast as possible. Good luck this season!

Here's the scheduled starter for each game scheduled from April 9 to 16, including a projected game score for each pitcher in each matchup. A 50 is typically deemed a "quality start" by this measure, while a 70 is considered a dominant start:

Alec Asher will join the Baltimore Orioles' rotation on April 15.

Dylan Covey will join the Chicago White Sox's rotation on April 14.

With Garrett Richards (DL: biceps) sidelined, the Los Angeles Angels will call upon JC Ramirez to fill in on April 14.

Andrew Cashner (DL, triceps) is expected to join the Texas Rangers' rotation on April 15.

The Atlanta Braves skipped Mike Foltynewicz in their rotation due to their five-game Week 2 schedule and will insert him back into their rotation on April 18.

After Adam Conley was needed in relief on April 13, so the Miami Marlins pushed his next start back from April 14 to April 15.

With the Washington Nationals promoting Jeremy Guthrie for an April 8 spot start, then designating him for assignment immediately afterward, the team will presumably use the April 13 off day to skip that spot in their rotation. It's also possible that the team could choose to summon Joe Ross to pitch during the April 14-16 weekend.

Sal Romano will make a spot start for the Cincinnati Reds on April 16, filling in for Rookie Davis (DL: forearm).

Alex Wood made a spot start in place of Rich Hill (DL: blister) on April 10, but Hill is considered likely to be ready to rejoin the Los Angeles Dodgers' rotation by the next time that spot arrives on April 16.

Jarred Cosart made a spot start for the San Diego Padres in place of Trevor Cahill (DL: back) on April 10, and Zach Lee made a spot start for them in place of Luis Perdomo (DL: shoulder) on April 12. Cahill is expected to be ready to pitch on April 16.
