Harry Hiestand is returning to the NFL to coach the Chicago Bears' offensive line, according to multiple reports. Hiestand was on the coaching staff the last time the Bears went to the Super Bowl. He coached for the last six years at Notre Dame, where his offensive line produced to All-Americans and won the Joe Moore Award this past fall.

Notre Dame running back Josh Adams is headed to the NFL draft, he announced today on Instagram. Adams, who briefly entered the Heisman conversation this season, rushed for 1,430 yards and nine touchdowns. He had seven runs of 60 yards or longer. "I will always be connected to this great university," Adams wrote on Instagram. "I'll definitely be back to earn and receive my degree at Notre Dame."

Mike Elko will receive a multiyear contract from Texas A&M and is expected to earn approximately $2 million annually, a source told ESPN's Chris Low.

Justin Yoon's 46-yard field goal with four seconds to play in the second quarter prevented Notre Dame and LSU from playing the first scoreless opening half in an FBS bowl game in longer than a decade. Irish lead 3-0. Last bowl game to go to half with this score, per ESPN Stats & Info, was the 2008 Sun Bowl, won 3-0 by Oregon State over Pitt.

Notre Dame linebacker Nyles Morgan did not start and was stripped of his role as a captain today against LSU in the Citrus Bowl for an "internal matter," according to the school. Morgan is expected to play in the game.
